In order
to bring a radical change to the serious situation
of wildlife resources being destroyed, the State
Forestry Administration held a National Conference
on the Wildlife Management and Protection in December
1999 to analyze the existing problems and study
strategy for future conservation in China. It
sounded the clarion call for comprehensive enhancement
of wildlife conservation in the new century. Forestry
administrations of each level and vast numbers
from the Party and the Nation, take upon themselves
the glorious historical task, and promise to win
a new victory……
