For
many years, China has made great efforts in fundamental
works of wildlife conservation, such as scientific
research, resource survey, and bird-banding and
a great outcome has achieved with distribution
of wildlife and wetland and the resource status
learned and verified, many new high-tech methods
now used, and a great volume of accurate and effective
information provided for decision-making.
State Forestry Administration
has approved and invested to establish the
National Bird Banding Center, Wildlife Research
and Development Center, and Wildlife Inspection
and Test Center. Bird banding and concerned
scientific research has been conducted with
a number of important achievements.
Since 1995, China
has launched nationwide surveys of wildlife
and
wetland resource.
